The Liverpool Sportswoman’s Lunch was created by Clare Brookfield of Primas Law,
Marena Mondair of EMW Law LLP and Natalie Dye of Bathgate Business Finance in 2017.
All good ideas come after a couple of glasses of fizz and this was no different. We
realised that there were very few events that were focused specifically on women. There
are plenty of sportsman dinners and lunches but nothing that focuses on the sporting
achievements of women and, just like that, we had our lunch.
In addition to the three founders the Board now comprises Natalie Dickson of Freeths
LLP, Lucy Shotter of Bibby Financial Services, Lynne Pierce of Flavell Wealth
Management, Ruth Kirby of NatWest, Louise Molloy of Metro Bank and Alice Gregan of Langtons.
We have been so lucky with the support we have received from the Liverpool business
community and our first event was a huge success with 130 guests and raising £7,000 for
Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Year two saw us grow again with 170 guests and raising
£11,000 for the Encephalitis Society and in year 3 we hosted 300 guests at Anfield raising almost £7,000 for NSPCC.
In 2022 we raised £20,250 for Marie Curie, last year we raised a whopping over £30,000 for LFC Foundation.
We would like to thank all of our wonderful sponsors for this years Liverpool Sportswoman's Lunch.
